What is it about golf trousers, really? With regards men’s fashion, any two-legged suit might do well with any shirt and the only distinction we could think of is the kind of fabric to match the tops – casual shirts, casual polos, and formal polos.

Come to think of it; why would men spend a lot of money on certain golf trousers over another type of golf trousers? Because wool does not keep moist under its layers and the best thing about it is its durability. 

Prices of golf trousers actually vary from cheap (there are select finds you can have for just $30- $100+) to steep. Twenty-something dollar men’s bottom are simple slack that are of poor-quality for discerning golfers to wear. I am quite sure that any professional or plain serious golfers won’t opt for that but some who pay more attention to cost than quality purchase it anyway and just make do. 

On the other hand, you have to assure that you get the right stuff before heading for a day of golf. Bring a checklist if you must. The pockets must be very accommodating on the sides and at the back. Make room for the golf paraphernalia to avoid clutter. You wouldn’t like walking around the golf course carrying your gloves and scorecards, or tools, yardage book and ball markers all messed up. 

Golfing is usually a man’s thing. It doesn’t mean though that the idea of it ends with swinging clubs, hitting the holes and thanking the caddy behind for the assistance. The trouser is another detail in golf that gives men’s boutique something to cheer for.

Golf trousers shopping might be the least thing that a man would consider in ordinary golf days, but if we are talking about winning moments, the trousers play a vital part. Why? Because in every game, the player needs to be at ease in his own skin and with his own style. This is besides the swinging style that Tiger Woods would brag about; this is about quality trousers that would allow men to enjoy their golfing for a long time. 

For one, men’s golf trousers should not only fit. They should fit right and feel great. Soft and durable fabric like wool has been a favorite material in terms of quality pants. Wool is cool. Other than style though, the major considerations of a bona fide golfer are quality and outdoor performance. Golf trousers should be detailed and finely cut. Side and rear pockets should be generous to contain golf paraphernalia – clubs excluded of course (leave them to the caddies!). The price should also be reasonable. Unless you are a millionaire who can afford luxury trousers, choose reasonably priced quality trousers instead. The market offers a lot of convenient choices for the guys.
